At Celiac Connect, we believe that true change begins on the ground. By taking our message directly into educational institutions, we are actively dismantling the misconceptions surrounding celiac disease and gluten sensitivity at the root.
Recently, our team traveled to St. Farid Public School in Amloh to launch a comprehensive awareness drive. Schools are the perfect starting point for our mission because educating youth ensures a future generation that is empathetic, informed, and capable of fostering inclusive environments for their peers.
We conducted large-scale assemblies to engage directly with the youth. By speaking to hundreds of students simultaneously, we explained the realities of living a gluten-free life, the critical importance of early diagnosis, and how they can safely support classmates with dietary restrictions.
Addressing the student body on gluten awareness.
Awareness requires champions within the school itself. During our visit, we collaborated closely with the school's Health & Wellness Club. These student leaders act as ambassadors, ensuring that the message of dietary inclusivity extends far beyond a single presentation.
We also recognize that educators are the backbone of any supportive environment. As the beautiful mural at the school states: "The influence of a good teacher can never be erased." By educating the teachers, we ensure that children with celiac disease are understood and accommodated in their daily school life.
Commitment to Inclusion
Our efforts culminated in a formal meeting with the school administration. We were deeply honored to receive a Certificate of Appreciation, marking the beginning of a sustained partnership to make education safer for gluten-sensitive children.
Receiving the Certificate of Appreciation
Our mission goes beyond single assemblies. We actively host interactive workshops, community gatherings, and ongoing educational sessions to ensure that the message of gluten-free living and celiac awareness resonates across all age groups. By engaging directly with communities, we turn awareness into actionable, everyday support.
We are actively looking to partner with more educational institutions to spread awareness. Let's work together to make your school a safer, more inclusive place for everyone.
